How is Student Shopper different from other comparison sites?
Student Shopper is a comparison website that allows the shopper to purchase items from multiple vendors with one transaction instead of sending you off to each vendor’s site.

Is my order being shipped from Student Shopper?
No. Your order will actually be fulfilled and shipped by the vendor from whom you purchased the book. For example, if you choose an item being offered by a Marketplace seller through Amazon, they will ship the item to you directly. Student Shopper is a facilitator between you and the actual seller.
Why does it say my item is coming from both a website and a merchant?
Merchants are independent, third-party sellers who list their items for sale through a website. The order is fulfilled and shipped by the merchant. All customer service is handled directly by the merchant, not the website the order was purchased through.

Is my information safe and secure?
When you purchase college textbooks through StudentShopper.com, your security and privacy are very important to us. All information, such as name, email, address, phone number, etc., is for the sole purpose of facilitating your purchase of products through our website. Will my credit card be charged more than once?
Your credit card may be charged more than once depending on the number of items you purchased and if they are ordered from different vendors. Each charge will appear on your statement separately with the vendor’s site listed.

What is the star rating?
The star rating is based on the customer feedback left for the seller on the site indicated next to the listing of the book. The more stars the better the feedback rating. High feedback ratings typically mean that customer who have ordered are happy with the service and products they have received. If the stars are blank, that means that we do not have feedback for that particular site/vendor.

What is the Best Buy?
The Best Buy is Student Shopper's recommendation for the best priced book also taking into account the seller's feedback rating. We see this as the best value for your money.

What are the shipping methods offered and how long do they take?
The two main shipping options offered are standard and expedited. Standard mail usually takes 5-20 days to be delivered and expedited mail usually takes 3-5 days to be delivered. At times, based on weather and distance from the shipping location, some orders may take a few additional days. Faster shipping options may also be available depending on the vendor.

How will I know when my order has been shipped?
All correspondence regarding your order will be sent by the merchant from whom you placed the order. Shipping confirmation is usually sent via email once the item has been shipped.

Where can I find my order information?
To view your order(s) go to studentshopper.com and log in. Click on the My Account link at the top right hand corner of the page and click on Your Order History.

Can I return my item?
To receive return policies/instructions, you will need to contact the seller of your item. To contact the seller, please send an email to customer service and your inquiry will be forwarded to the seller. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.

How do I change my password or personal information?
To change your password or personal information go to studentshopper.com and log in. Click on the My Account link at the top right hand corner of the page. There you can edit the information you wish to change.

How can I contact Student Shopper?
You can contact Student Shopper via email 24 hours a day at customerservice@studentshopper.com.

Why doesn't Student Shopper list a customer service phone number?
Since we are a comparison site that is arranging for your orders to be filled by the sites and individuals sellers that are listing these books, we almost always don’t have any immediate information we can provide you about your order. When we receive you email, we then contact the seller of the items you have ordered and get back to you as soon as we receive their response. Please be aware that some sellers don’t get back to us right away. Regardless, we will do everything in our power to find out the answer to your question and get back to you as soon as possible.

Does Student Shopper charge sales tax?
We are constantly reviewing the sites that we work with to fulfill your books. If StudentShopper is aware that tax is being charged by that site you will find notices in a few places.
The comparison page – you will see the XXX icon, which when you hover over it says "This seller may charge sales tax that is not included in the price of the item".
In your shopping cart in the detail for the item it will say "+ tax"

If an item includes tax, how much will I pay?
We only charge the exact amount of sales tax collected by the site you chose to fulfill your book. Since the rates vary we are unable at this time to display the rate and we often don't know the rate until we complete your order. You should estimate the amount of sales tax that you may pay to be what you are currently paying when you purchase locally.
